Crime Statistics

This information is being provided to you as part of KVCTC's commitment to your safety and security on its campus and its compliance with the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990 and the 1998 Amendment to the Higher Education Act of 1965.

These Statistics represent criminal activity impacting our campus for the prevailing and two preceding calender years. Additionally, WVSU submits campus crime statistics to the FBI and to the U.S. Department of Higher Education. Jeanne Clery crime statictics are calculated by the calendar year and subsequently reporting runs in arrears by one year.

 


Active Shooter Training

This training is designed to help Students, Faculty and Staff determine the right actions to take in the event of an active shooter emergency on campus. 

 

Beginning on in March 2013, KVCTC Students will have the option to sign up to participate in an Active Shooter Training session, hosted by Lt. Vitelo of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department. Lt. Vitelo will be here on March 20 & 21, 2013 to assit in the training of  KVCTC students on how to best respond to an active shooter situation. There will be four sessions offered and each will last 30 minutes. Session times are:

  • March 20 4:00pm - 4:30pm
  • March 20 5:00pm - 5:30pm
  • March 21 4:00pm - 4:30pm
  • March 21 5:00pm - 5:30pm
