$1    PHOTO CONTEST Sponsored by Sustainability Institute and Sustainability Council Opp 7 Team. Students can submit Earth Day-themed photos via Instagram for a chance at winning a $50 Wal-Mart gift card. $1    EARTH DAY DISPLAY. Sponsored by KVCTC Book Club and Sustainability Council Opp 6 Team. Tuesday April 22nd; 9 am – 4 pm in the Main Hall lobby. Earth Day facts, games, and prizes! We will be giving away household CFL bulbs and reusable Chico shopping bags.

Aluminum cans and Plastics # 1 and #2: Recycling bins will be available April 14th – 27th and will be located throughout Main Hall as well as at the Annex building.

CFL light bulbs, Cell Phones, and Dry-cell batteries: Drop off at the Earth Day Display, Tuesday April 22nd; 9 am – 4 pm in the Main Hall lobby. Benefits National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Books: Collection bins are placed in various locations throughout Main Hall and will be available through April 24th. No magazines, please. Books will be donated to Worldwide Book Drive.

SPRING CLEANING COLLECTION AND SWAP.  Sponsored by Facilities. Collection bins will be available in the Main Hall lobby Monday April 21st through Thursday April 24th for clothing and working electronics and small appliances. Faculty, staff, and students who have donated at least one item will be able to browse and swap Thursday April 24th 3-4 pm. Broken computers and electronics for recycling should be placed on the loading dock at the back of Main Hall. Items will be donated to Goodwill.
