 STEAM

The STEAM Academy at BridgeValley is an opportunity for kids to spend a portion of their summer having fun "imagining and making" while investigating careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.

Why:       STEAM Academy will introduce students to a wide range of high-paying technical
               careers for a bright future.

When:    June 16 - 27, 2014,  Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM

Who:      Students entering 4th through the 8th grades in Fall 2014

Lego

Where:   The Advanced Technology Center,
               1201 Science Drive,
                South Charleston, WV  25303

What:     A day camp with workshops similar to:  

Computer Game Development Science of Sound Stick City Architecture
Rollercoaster Physics Chemistry of Manufacturing Lego Robotics

TED-Ed Filmmaking 

Rocket Building Web Page Development
3-D Engineering Web Application Development And more!

Cost:       A registration fee of $250

  • Includes 2 weeks (M-F) full-day educational camp experience
  • An additional materials fee of $25.00 will be due the first day of camp
  • Lunch and snacks will be available for purchase during camp,or you may bring your own.
  • Camp T-shirts will be available for purchase
