Welcome to iLearn Help
All web-based classes at KVCTC use iLearn. The iLearn system can be accessed at https://ilearn-kvctc.wvnet.edu/ or by going to the KVCTC homepage http://www.kvctc.edu/ and clicking on the student menu link> e-tools and resources> iLearn
Once you register for classes, the system will create your iLearn account. Your account username will be your KVCTC student number and your password will be your birthdate(sample below).
Username: K00000000 (Make sure to use an uppercase K)
Password: birthdate in the following format: mmddyy. (May 1, 1981 would be written 050181.)
If you are taking a 100% online class, you will not be required to come to campus for that class. To maintain the integrity of the instruction, most instructors require a proctoring system for exams. A proctoring system allows the student to take an exam off campus under the supervision of a pre-approved individual.
It is the responsibility of the student to find a proctor and provide the contact information to the instructor. In addition, any fees or paperwork associated with the use of a proctor is the responsibility of the individual student.
Further proctoring requirements and information will be provided by the instructor within each course.
Internet Explorer Problems
Due to continuing issues with iLearn while using Internet Explorer, it is highly recommended all users restrain from using any version of Internet Explorer for their online class.
You may be able to access and navigate your online class with Internet Explorer, but it may cause performance issues, navigation errors, pages to be distorted, and images to disappear. If you are experiencing any of these problems you may notice performance improvements with a browser change. It is recommended that you use Firefox or Google Chrome as your online class browser. Either of these browser can be downloaded for free on the internet.
