Microsoft Word 2013

Basic: Friday; Sept. 20, 2013; 9am - 4pm

  • Gain an introduction to Word's window components;
  • Learn how to use the Help system and navigate documents;
  • Enter and edit text;
  • Create and save documents;
  • Enhance the appearance of a document by using various formatting options;
  • Create tables, insert headers and footers;
  • Proof and print documents; and
  • Insert graphics.

 

Intermediate: Friday; Nov. 1, 2013; 9am - 4pm

  • Work with styles, sections, and columns;
  • Use the navigation pane to work with outlines;
  • Format tables, print labels and envelopes;
  • Work with graphics;
  • Use document templates, manage document revisions; and
  • Work with web features.

 

Advanced: Friday; Dec. 13, 2013; 9am - 4pm

  • Perform mail merges;
  • Create and use forms;
  • Create master documents that include a table of contents, a table of figures, footnotes, endnotes, an index, bookmarks, cross-references, and Web frames;
  • Create macros;
  • Customize the ribbon and Quick Access toolbar; and
  • Work with XML documents.
