Planning is an integral part of the institutional culture of KVCTC. The strategic planning process involves participation from all areas of the institution. By soliciting and encouraging participation from faculty, staff, students and the community, KVCTC is able to insure the concerns of all constituents are considered.
Although the KVCTC Strategic Planning Committee, lead by the President, has the overall responsibility for the development of institutional goals, the information is shared with all segments of the College and everyone is encouraged to provide feedback.
These institutional goals provide a basis for the College’s planning and decision-making activities. Strategic planning is supported by the institution’s fiscal planning process, and is evaluated by a planning assessment process. Additionally, KVCTC planning processes include facilities planning and, also address the priorities established by the West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education.
